WASHINGTON -- Delta Air Lines filed for Transportation
Department clearance to operate daily service between Atlanta and
Grand Cayman Island with 757 aircraft, beginning Dec. 7.
In other DOT news:
* Canada's Air Transat airline wants DOT approval to operate
scheduled service between the U.S. and Canada. The carrier
initially intends to operate from Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and
Calgary to Las Vegas, points in Florida and Honolulu, beginning in
October. Air Transat now holds authority to operate between
Montreal and Fort Lauderdale.
* British Airways wants approval to operate via Montreal over
its London-Pittsburgh routing, with local traffic rights between
Montreal and Pittsburgh, beginning Oct. 26.
