Delta has entered into a codeshare partnership with low-cost Dutch carrier Transavia, a subsidiary of Air France-KLM.

The agreement adds Marrakech, Morocco; Thessaloniki, Greece; and the Spanish cities of Seville and Alicante into the network that Delta has developed through transatlantic airline partnerships.

"Partnering with Transavia will enable Delta to expand its network to include more leisure destinations, primarily in the Mediterranean region, that are popular with U.S. tourists during both summer and winter months," said Nat Pieper, Delta's senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Delta flies as many as 19 flights per day from the U.S. to Amsterdam. Under the agreement with Transavia, air travelers will be able connect through Amsterdam under the Delta code to 10 locations. Along with the four new Delta partnership locations, they include Barcelona, Malaga, Valencia and Ibiza in Spain, as well as Lisbon and Casablanca.
