Delta is now the second largest U.S. airline,
having edged ahead of United in 2015.
Last week, Delta announced that it

Delta leapfrogged United by growing its revenue
passenger mileage count by 3.3%, more than double United’s 1.6% growth. In
2014, United recorded 205.6 billion revenue passenger miles compared to Delta’s
Delta is still second in size to American Airlines,
which announced Tuesday that it flew 223 billion revenue passenger miles in
2015, up 2.4% from a year earlier.
