Jamaica’s government said on Tuesday that its National Emergency Operations Centre has scaled down activities to a monitoring phase in light of the reduction in the threat level of Hurricane Matthew.

Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport reopened on Tuesday afternoon. The airport had closed on Monday.

Airlines are now making arrangements for the commencement of flight activity.

Passengers scheduled for flights on Tuesday were being asked to contact their airline to confirm their flight.
