Lufthansa recommenced service from Munich to Denver on Wednesday. The German carrier previously dropped the route in 2008.

The three-class Airbus service will be operated Tuesdays, Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It will join Lufthansa’s existing daily route between Denver and Frankfurt.

“Denver has been an important market for Lufthansa since 2001,” Juergen Siebenrock, the airline’s vice president for the Americas, said in prepared remarks. “The reintroduction of our Denver-Munich route increases capacity by nearly 50%, demonstrating the boost in demand we’re receiving from leisure and business travelers to both Munich and Frankfurt.”
