Poodle on the loose delays flights in Boston

After escaping from her kennel at Boston Logan International Airport on Saturday night, Choochy the poodle disrupted operations by running across runways and taxiways, according to a story in the Boston Globe.

An airport spokesman said Choochy escaped as she was being unloaded after a flight from Detroit. For the next 17 hours, Choochy reportedly evaded airport personnel, state police and firefighters. At least eight flights were delayed for up to 30 minutes each, said the airport.

Choochy was frightened, tired and hungry when she was finally lured to safety with food early Sunday afternoon, reported the Globe. The poodle was then treated for minor injuries at an animal hospital and returned to her owner.
