Regional carriers join United Express

CHICAGO -- Chautauqua Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America joined United Express.

Under a multi-year agreement with the regional carriers, United Airlines authorized Republic to fly 16 70-seat regional jets as United Express, while Chautauqua will operate 16 and Shuttle America will fly 10.

The carriers primarily will serve United's Washington (Dulles) and Chicago (O'Hare) hubs.
