American Airlines has named Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide senior vice president of global sales Alison Taylor to lead its global sales team, effective this month.

She will manage the airline’s relationships with corporate customers and travel agencies.

Taylor, a longtime Starwood veteran who took over as senior vice president of sales in April 2015, will bear responsibility for American’s relationships with corporate customers and travel agencies, as well as for its global sales and distribution policies.

She will report to Andrew Nocella, American’s senior vice president of network planning, alliances and sales.

American vice president of global sales Derek DeCross left in January to join InterContinental Hotels Group as senior vice president of worldwide sales.
