US Helicopter switches airline partner at JFK to Delta

US Helicopter, which offers eight-minute shuttle service from two New York heliports to Kennedy and Newark airports, signed deals to make its inventory available in Sabre and to replace American with Delta on May 14 as its airline partner at Kennedy.

The carrier is already in Worldspan and partners with Continental at Newark.

Any traveler, regardless of airline, can book the shuttle service via US Helicopter, which also flies from its downtown Manhattan heliport to the airport in Bridgeport, Conn. But with its partner airlines, US Helicopter takes passengers to a set airport location where they can avoid a second trip through security.

For Delta, they'll be flying passengers to Gate 11 at Terminal 3. Delta customers can check in and get boarding passes at the heliport for their final domestic or international destinations, with baggage checked to its final destination, too.

US Helicopter, founded in 2003, operates 325 weekly flights. Ticket prices begin at $159 one-way, plus taxes and fees.
