WASHINGTON -- United and All Nippon Airways won Transportation
Department approval to code share between the U.S. and Japan and
beyond.
The carriers plan to begin selling tickets on Sept. 19 for the
service, which is set to start on Oct. 25.
Among the new services, United will use ANA to offer
Honolulu-Nagoya and Washington (Dulles)-Tokyo nonstops; ANA will
gain access to Chicago and San Francisco and beyond, and offer
Osaka-U.S. flights.
Separately, APA International Air, a Dominican Republic carrier,
said it plans to begin Puerto Plata-Miami and Santo Domingo-Miami
service this month under a DOT-approved deal to wet-lease 727
aircraft from Panagra Airway.
