United is including access to the VIP terminal at Los
Angeles International Airport in some business-class fares.
Access to the Private Suite will initially be available
through select third parties, United said. Eventually, Private Suite access
will be available for purchase on United.com as part of the fare for seats in
the premium cabin on flights to and from Newark, Aspen, Hawaii, London
Heathrow, Los Cabos, Melbourne, Sydney, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo Narita.
United said it has negotiated a preferential rate for the service.
Private Suite customers arriving from overseas are met at
the aircraft and escorted to private customs and immigrations processing.
Departing customers enjoy private bag check and TSA security screening and are
driven across the tarmac to their flights in a BMW sedan.
The Private Suite opened last year and offers an annual
membership of $4,500.
