Virgin Atlantic will resume U.S. service in late July.

The carrier will relaunch flights to Orlando from London Heathrow on July 20. The following day, service will resume from Heathrow to New York JFK and Los Angeles. Frequencies are still being finalized.

Prior to the Covid-19 crisis, Virgin Atlantic flew to Los Angeles and New York in addition to Newark, Washington Dulles, Boston, Las Vegas and Miami. The carrier halted most U.S. flights on March 12. JFK passenger service was suspended at the start of May.

Emirates has also announced the resumption of New York service. The Dubai-based carrier will begin scheduled JFK flights on June 15. Emirates’ first U.S. resumption was Dubai-Chicago, which began on May 21.
