Carey International, a provider of chauffeured transportation, took the wraps off a lower-priced subsidiary, Embarque, on Monday at the National Business Travel Association Convention & Exposition in Houston.

In the past year, the company has quietly introduced Embarque in several markets.

The new service is available in Baltimore; Boston; Chicago; London; Los Angeles; Newark, N.J.; New York; Philadelphia; Orange County, Calif.; San Francisco; Washington, D.C.; and Stamford, Conn. More cities will be added throughout 2011.

Embarque offers chauffeur-driven Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry vehicles at prices that can be 30% less than traditional Carey services, said the company. The Embarque fleet includes gas-electric hybrids.
