Vail Resorts has agreed to acquire ground transportation company Colorado Mountain Express from East West Partners for $40.5 million. The transaction is expected to close in late fall.
Colorado Mountain Express offers ground transportation from Denver International Airport and Eagle County Airport to ski resorts in and around Vail, Aspen and Summit County.
The company offers four primary types of service: door-to-door shuttle, point-to-point shuttle with centralized drop-off at transportation hubs; private chartered vans and premier luxury charter vehicles. Colorado Mountain Express' fleet consists of approximately 250 vans and luxury SUVs.
Vail Resorts' subsidiaries operate the mountain resorts of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado.
