ST. LOUIS -- Adam's Mark Hotels & Resort, based here,
acquired the 471-room Buffalo (N.Y.) Hilton Hotel and announced
plans for a major renovation that will make the property a meetings
and convention hotel.
The property, which is now called the Adam's Mark Buffalo, is on
the waterfront of Lake Erie in downtown Buffalo, N.Y.
The renovation, which will begin mid-year, will bring the
meetings facilities up to 75,000 square feet, according to Fred
Kummer, president and chief executive office of Adam's Mark Hotels.
It currently has about 16,000 square feet of meeting space. The
additional meetings space will come from a reconfiguring the
property's existing facility, he said.
Construction should be completed sometime in 1999, an Adam's
Mark spokesman said.
