ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- The Association of Corporate Travel Executives
re-elected Earl Foster to another two-year term as president.
Foster, also the director of global travel management at Joseph
Seagram & Sons Inc., ran unopposed.
David Ogilvie, chair of ACTE's nominating committee and vice
president at ITT Sheraton, said of Foster: "Through his leadership
and vision during his first term of office, ACTE has become a
global organization, opening an office in Brussels last year [with]
planned expansion into Asia in 1998."
ACTE, based here, also named a slate of officers who will serve
a two-year term with Foster. They will assume their posts at the
conclusion of the annual ACTE members conference June 3.
ACTE's officers are:
Larry Cook, vice president operations and planning. He is
senior vice president commercial sales, marketing and client
services for Travel and Transport Inc.Daniel Merrill, vice president of finance and treasurer. He is
regional director of sales for AmeriSuites.Julie Hylton, vice president of administration and secretary.
She is the manager of multinational account development for
American Express.Colleen Guhin, vice president of education. She is corporate
travel manager for Texas Instruments.David Henderson, vice president, international development. He
is account director for American Express Europe.Armand LeCompte will continue as chairman. He is corporate
travel manager of Hoescht Celanese Corp.
