IRISH TOWN, Jamaica -- Strawberry Hill, a resort located in
Jamaica's Blue Mountain region, introduced an executive retreat
program for groups.
The program is designed for executive meetings or incentives
groups of as many as 20 people.
Mario Leon, director of sales at Island Outpost Inc. in Miami,
said the program is part of an effort by the hotel to target small
incentives groups and high-end corporate meetings business.
"It's truly the ideal setting for an executive retreat," he
said.
Leon said the resort has booked recording-company executives
looking for a quiet setting, and publishing companies have used the
resort as a base for photo shoots.
Strawberry Hill has an impressive list of corporate meetings
guests, including Price Waterhouse, IBM, Gillette and Shell Oil,
according to the resort.
Groups booking an executive retreat program get exclusive use of
the resort's conference facilities, which can hold as many as 30
people theater-style, 17 people boardroom-style and 24 people
classroom-style.
The resort has overhead slide projectors, VCRs, cellular phones
and fax machines.
The Jamaican Touring Society can take groups on guided hikes in
the Blue Mountains.

Twyman's Old Tavern Blue Mountain Coffee Estate.
The inclusive plan includes accommodations, all meals, morning
and evening coffee breaks, conference facilities and equipment,
roundtrip transfers from Kingston airport and all taxes and
