Accor to move into Miami Worldcenter under its Morgans Originals soft brand

Accor is set to take over management of a downtown Miami hospitality project, which it plans to debut under its Morgans Originals lifestyle brand.

Expected to break ground this year, the Legacy Hotel & Residences will be part of the Miami Worldcenter, a new, $4 billion mixed-use megadevelopment. The 10-block Miami Worldcenter complex will house a variety of residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, restaurant and entertainment components.

The Legacy will comprise 219 hotel guestrooms and 310 residences, as well as a large pool deck, which is set to span a full acre and feature several food and beverage concepts.

The property will also be part of Accor's ALL (Accor Live Limitless) loyalty program network.

Additionally, the Legacy tower will feature amenities like a Center for Health + Performance medical clinic and a rooftop atrium with a restaurant and bar and lounge, as well as a cantilevered, infinity-edge pool and a members-only lounge area.

In addition to the Legacy, the Miami Worldcenter will be home to the 1,700-room Marriott Marquis Miami Worldcenter and a 351-room CitizenM outpost.

Meanwhile, Accor's announcement marks a return of the Morgans Originals flag, a former SBE brand. Accor took over full ownership of SBE in late 2020.

Accor said it expects to expand the Morgans Originals portfolio over the next few months with a number of properties that are "individual in nature, but unmistakably rooted in the heritage of lifestyle hospitality."
