Aman Resorts plans to open the Aman Niseko in 2023, growing
its Japan portfolio to a total of four locations.
Situated on the slopes of Mount Moiwa in Hokkaido’s Niseko
region, the Aman Niseko will comprise 30 guest rooms and 31 branded residences.
The property will be positioned as an “all-season retreat,” promising proximity
to ski runs in winter and access to hiking, mountain biking and river rafting
during warm months.
The Aman Niseko will draw design inspiration from
traditional Japanese ryokan accommodations, showcasing wood accents, forest and
mountain views, open fireplaces and hot springs.
The property’s Aman Spa will house single and double
treatment rooms, pre-treatment lounges, relaxation pods and a variety of
thermal spa areas, including Finnish saunas, cold plunge pools, a hammam and
steam rooms. Retreat programs will be available, offering guests personalized
spa, fitness, mindfulness and culinary experiences.
Several restaurants will be on property, including a
Japanese eatery and an outpost of Aman’s Italian restaurant concept Arva.
Other highlights include a two-story kids club with a
healthy refreshment area and matcha bar, an indoor playground, a bowling alley,
a games zone, a theatre, a half basketball court, indoor swimming and wading
Aman’s locations in Japan are the Aman Kyoto, Aman Tokyo and
Amanemu in Shima-shi.
