Andbook adds Hilton, others to partner list

LONDON -- Andbook, a joint venture hotel Internet site at that focuses on small- to mid-size business travelers, added 10 new partners to its lineup, including its first U.S.-based hotel company, Hilton Hotels Corp.

Andbook's three founders -- Accor, Le Meridien, and Hilton International -- were also joined by Conrad International, Kempinski, Millennium & Copthorne, Shangri-La, SRS Worldhotels, Jolly Hotels (Italy), Maritim (Germany), Moat House (U.K.) and Scandic, a European operator that is owned by Hilton International.

Hilton Hotels operates Hilton-branded properties in the U.S., while Hilton International, a U.K. company, uses the brand in other markets.

With the additions, Andbook doubles the number of preferred partner properties to around 5,500 hotels and 856,000 rooms.

Partner hotels will be given preference on the site, though customers can use Andbook to book rooms at more than 55,000 hotels.

London-based Andbook, which launched in March, said the new partners will be incorporated into the site in the near future.
