Robert King, a home-based agent for Travel & Transport of Omaha, Neb., is driving a new Saturn Vue hybrid sedan after winning the grand prize in the fall look-to-book travel agent loyalty program sweepstakes from Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
King has been a look-to-book travel agent loyalty program member since 1995.
"I never dreamed I'd win something like this," said King. "When I was first contacted, I was skeptical. But once I received the paperwork, I realized, 'Hey, I've really won!'"
Travel agency professionals can also participate in Carlson Hotels' recently extended promotion, The Big Bonus Event, by booking their clients through the GDS or online through a Carlson Hotels Worldwide hotel brand website for a stay at any of the 1,000 Carlson Hotels Worldwide properties.
Agents who book clients during the Big Bonus Event period will earn 15 points for every dollar spent on consumed hotel bookings, a 50% increase from the customary reward of 10 points per dollar. The Big Bonus Event promotion is open to look to book members worldwide through the summer.
All five Carlson Hotels Worldwide brands, spanning luxury to economy, participate in the look-to-book travel agency loyalty program, including Regent Hotels & Resorts, Radisson Hotel & Resorts, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Country Inns & Suites by Carlson and Park Inn.
Agents can redeem points for awards ranging from hotel stays to airline miles to prepaid cards that can be used to purchase a variety of products and services. U.S.-based look-to-book members can also redeem points for retail gift cards from Target, Home Depot, Toys "R" Us, Pottery Barn and more.
