The development team behind the Ace Hotel New Orleans is
creating a second, smaller luxury property in the Crescent City.
The company said its creative studio Atelier Ace will design
the Maison de la Luz guesthouse, a quieter alternative next door to the
bustling 234-room Ace hotel that opened 2016 with 234 rooms, a restaurant, a music
venue and rooftop pool.
The 67-room hotel is expected to open next spring.
A blog on the Ace web site says the hotel was "inspired
by ideas of grace, beauty and Southern luxury," and will represent "a
soft world above the heat and wildness, an ease from the daily, a flood of
sensual delight and a life of pleasure."
