Add New York City’s Be Hotel NYC to the list of existentially named properties on the East Coast.

Be Hotel debuted earlier this month on Canal Street near the foot of the Manhattan Bridge. The property has 40 rooms and features handmade furniture in its rooms as well as local art in its lobby.

Be Hotel, not to be confused with the B Hotels & Resorts brand of properties in Florida, follows up the announcement of Boston’s The Verb, which will open this summer at the old Howard Johnson site near Fenway Park.
