A 140-room boutique hotel will be developed along the Atlanta Beltline, the walking and hiking trail looping around the city's core.
Slated to open by the end of 2017, the hotel will be located in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward, about seven blocks east of the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site and about a block west of Krog Street Market.
The $35 million hotel will have two restaurants and a rooftop bar affording guests views of the Atlanta skyline. The property will also have a screening room.
Beltway Investment International, Smart Hotels and Hospitality Ventures Management Group are building the hotel. Hospitality Ventures manages 32 U.S. hotels totaling more than 6,700 rooms, including the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque, an Embassy Suites in Dallas and a Courtyard by Marriott in Naples, Fla.
The Atlanta BeltLine is a 22-mile trail along what had been a railway corridor.
