A dual-branded property that will include AC and Le Meridien hotels broke ground in downtown Denver.

The 19-floor building will have 495 rooms combined. It is located at 15th and California Streets.

AC and Le Meridien are Marriott International and Starwood brands, respectively. Coincidentally, Marriott agreed to acquire Starwood on Monday.

The property is being developed by White Lodging. That company in 2013 built a property in Chicago that includes Fairfield Inn & Suites (a Marriott brand),  Aloft (a Starwood brand) and Hyatt Place hotels.
