The Highland Dallas has joined Curio, Hilton Worldwide's upscale collection of independent hotels.
The 198-room hotel, which originally opened in the 1960s as the Hilton Inn, was most recently in the Kimpton chain as the Hotel Palomar Dallas.
The property is about five miles north of downtown.
Hilton announced the Curio collection of four- and five-star hotels in June.
The collection includes the Sam Houston Hotel in Houston and the Franklin Hotel in Chapel Hill, N.C. The 1,620-room SLS Las Vegas will join when that hotel opens later this month.
