Disney has partnered with AccuWeather to create Disney Weather Check, powered by AccuWeather, which provides weather intelligence for various Disney properties.
Disney Weather Check provides forecasting and alerts for the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida; Disneyland Resort in California; Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii; Disney's Vero Beach Resort in Florida and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina.
The geofenced Disney Weather Check is available in the AccuWeather app when guests are at Disney properties.
They will receive location-specific weather intelligence and alerts, including a custom hourly forecast and access to AccuWeather features like MinuteCast (a hyperlocal forecast of precipitation type and intensity, including start and end times) and the RealFeel Temperature index.
"This collaboration enables our guests and operational leadership to benefit from customized, accurate, consistent and actionable weather insights across many Disney properties," said Greg Hale, chief safety officer and vice president of Disney Worldwide Safety Assurance. "By integrating AccuWeather's information and expertise with Disney Weather Check, we are continuing our commitment to providing the best guest experience possible."
