Dorchester Group rebrands, looks to grow

The Dorchester Group, which owns and operatives five luxury hotels in the U.S. and Europe, said it is looking to expand its portfolio of properties as part of a larger rebranding effort.

To that end, the 10-year-old group said it would now be known as the Dorchester Collection.

The current portfolio of hotels consists of the Dorchester in London; the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.; Le Meurice and the Hotel Plaza Athenee, both in Paris; and the Hotel Principe di Savoia Milano in Milan, Italy.

The Dorchester Collection, which is listed as DC on the GDS systems, said it intends to add traditional and contemporary, highly individual hotels in the U.S., Europe and Asia, to its roster both through acquisition and third-party management contracts.

The company also has call centers in Frankfurt, Miami and Singapore; and sales infrastructure with offices and representation in London, New York, Paris, Milan, Los Angeles, Moscow and Tokyo.
