The second Nobu hotel in the U.S. is scheduled to open within the Eden Roc Miami Beach by the end of next year.

The hotel is branded around Japanese chef and restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa.

The Nobu Hotel Eden Roc Miami Beach will comprise 210 of the property's 631 guestrooms. The hotel, which will be designed by Rockwell Group, will include a new beachfront restaurant as well as a 20,000-square-foot spa and more than 70,000 square feet of meeting space.

Built in 1956, the Eden Roc Miami Beach was designed by the late Morris Lapidus, who was also the architect of the Fontainebleau next door. The hotel operated under Marriott’s Renaissance brand from 2000 to 2013.

Nobu Hotels, whose investors include Robert DeNiro, opened its first property last year within the Caesars Palace Las Vegas. The Nobu Hotel City of Dreams Manila is slated to open in the Philippines by the end of the month, while other Nobu hotels are planned for Chicago, London and Riyadh.
