The Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York, the
first hotel named after the iconic French crystal maker, opened on Wednesday.
hotel, which occupies the first 12 floors of a Skidmore Owings &
Merrill-designed tower, features a 125-foot-wide crystal curtain at its entrance
as well as a restaurant, bar and a 50-foot-long indoor pool. The property has 114 hotel guestrooms
as well as 60 luxury residences.
The hotel is located across the street from the
Museum of Modern Art.
