The Grand Lucayan resort complex in Freeport, Bahamas, is up for sale in a sealed-bid auction, according to HVS Capital Corp., which is acting as an adviser in the sale.

The 409-acre, 1,271-room resort is the largest on Grand Bahama Island and the third-largest in the Bahamas. The deadline for submitting bids is June 10.

The complex includes the 749-unit Grand Lucayan and the 522-room Memories Beach Resort. The latter is currently leased to Blue Diamond Hotels & Resorts.

Other facilities include a conference center, a casino with 25 gaming tables and 195 slot machines, two golf courses, four tennis courts and retail space.

The owner, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Cheung Kong Property Holdings, prefers to sell the complex as a whole, although bids for individual assets will be considered.
