Hospitality update: Fla. resort debuts oceanfront suite

Acqualina Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla., took the wraps off its new oceanfront suite, a 2,375-square-foot unit with views of the Atlantic. Designed by Miami's Zeke Fernandez, the suite has three bedrooms and three baths, a gourmet kitchen and full living and dining rooms. A media area features a 42-inch flat-screen TV and PlayStation 3. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a private terrace afford views of the ocean. The master bath has marble flooring and a Jacuzzi tub. The nightly rate is $3,250. In other hospitality news:

• Langham Hospitality Group is expanding in India. The first of its new hotels will open in the first quarter of this year under the Eaton Smart brand at New Delhi Airport followed later in the year by Langham Place in Pune. The group also has also signed a management agreement with Lavasa Corp. for two new hotels, slated to open in 2013, in the hill city of Lavasa.

• The 20-villa Chedi Club Tanah Gajah, in Ubud, Bali, is offering Bali Confidential, a package for a party of up to 50 people booking the entire estate for a three-night retreat. The cost is $88,000. The rate includes use of the entire estate, all meals, spa treatments, yoga classes, a cycling tour, cooking classes, rice paddy trekking, chauffeured car service and a nightly cultural performance. Also, a butler attends to each of the resort's 20 villas. The package is a first for a hotel managed by GHM (www.ghmhotels.com), a resort group that also operates the Nam Hai in Vietnam, the Setai on South Beach in Miami and the Datai in Langkawi, Malaysia.
