Hyatt Hotels Corp. completed the rebranding of Sierra and Summerfield Suites hotels to Hyatt House, the company's new extended-stay brand.

Hyatt reflagged 38 Summerfield Suites and 15 Sierra hotels across 16 states. The Sierra hotels were part of Hyatt’s $660 million acquisition of the LodgeWorks hotel portfolio last year.

Hyatt will grow the new brand internationally, with the 77-room Hyatt House Shanghai Jiading scheduled to open in 2014.

Hyatt House was the name of a Los Angeles hotel the company purchased in 1957 as its first-ever operation.
