The Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago will begin a second renovation phase in December with improvements to the hotel’s 800-room main tower.
The hotel’s owner, the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, will upgrade all of the guestrooms as well as the hotel’s restaurant and lounge. The property, which was built in 1998, will also add a second private dining room.
The hotel’s third renovation phase, which starts next year, will include improvements to its lobby and 25,000-square-foot conference center.
In all, the hotel will get $110 million in improvements. The first renovation phase began a year ago with the construction of a 460-room tower.
