InterContinental Hotels Group will expand its number of hotels at U.S. military bases.
IHG, which has Holiday Inn Express hotels at 21 bases, will bring that total to 39. Those bases will have 76 hotels totaling more than 11,000 rooms.
Also, IHG will broaden its branding for the military-base hotels to include the Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites brands.
IHG's military-base hotels include properties at the Presidio of Monterey in California; Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas; and Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, N.Y.
U.K.-based IHG is the exclusive hotel provider for the Privatization of Army Lodging program.
