JDB Fine Hotels & Resorts has debuted a revamped website with its first agent platform, as part of what the company describes as a technology-driven transformation.

JDB, a hotel marketing firm that represents 63 luxury, independent hotels (mostly in Italy) was acquired in 2014 by Waterstone Holdings, whose owners include longtime travel executive Brian Froelich, now chairman of JDB.

Froelich, whose experience includes positions with American Express and Allied Tours, said that technology was leading the change at JDB and that its new website and agent platform would both streamline the booking process and expedite agent compensation.

JDB, founded in 1978, also represents several French properties. Fourteen more hotels are slated to join the collection this year, the company said.
