Kerzner International Holdings, best known for its Atlantis and One&Only hotels, has debuted a new brand called Rare Finds.

According to the company, the brand will showcase "a diverse collection of resorts" and highlight the "individuality of each property."

The first property to join Rare Finds will be the Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in Dubai. Kerzner has assumed management of the resort, which will close for renovations in May. Kerzner plans to reopen the resort in early 2023 as part of the Rare Finds portfolio.

As part of the refresh, the Bab Al Shams will receive aesthetic updates as well as a reimagined culinary offering centered on modern Arabic cuisine and locally and responsibly sourced ingredients.

Other highlights at the reopened Bab Al Shams will include a Desert Spa, featuring hammam and hot sand therapy among other treatments, and a robust menu of activities and experiences, including equestrian sports, sandboarding, archery, desert safaris and hot air balloon rides.

Kerzner's launch of the Rare Finds brand follows the company's debut of Siro, a wellness-focused hospitality concept, early last year.
