Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville brand will add a new resort
in Nassau, Bahamas, with the phased opening of Margaritaville at The Pointe in
The $250 million, 6-acre development already is under
construction and will feature a 150-room Margaritaville Beach Resort and 150
oceanfront residences, of which 100 will be branded One Particular Harbour at
The resort will have a 45-slip marina, private beach with cabanas, the
LandShark water park, St. Somewhere Spa, several Margaritaville food and beverage concepts, a movie theater, bowling alley, outdoor
stage and kids' club.
A public-access boardwalk will be lined by tiki hut-style
marina shops. A pier will be home to a restaurant and yacht club, and will
serve as a launching point for pirate ship excursions and a water taxi
transporting tourists to points of interest in and around Nassau.
Guests will have access to a cave aquarium, blue hole diving
pool, water slide tower, infinity pool, surf simulator and a tropical island
overlooking a lazy river.
The contemporary residences at One Particular Harbour will
range from one to three bedrooms in layout and have unobstructed ocean views. Each
will have an eight-foot-wide glass balcony.
