A “bud 'n’ breakfast” mountain resort is set to open July 1 in the San Juan mountains surrounding Durango, Colo.

CannaCamp bills itself as a "170-acre slice of heaven, where recreational marijuana and our traditional Colorado ranch create an unprecedented opportunity for cannabis users to experience the outdoors in a safe environment, " according to its website.

Guests can legally and openly smoke anywhere on the campgrounds, except inside the five two-bedroom cabins and four suites that accommodate up to seven guests each.

The cabins and suites all have their own outdoor private smoking decks.

The resort/camp does not sell marijuana to guests but has a cannabis concierge who can help with selections when users do purchase elsewhere.

Camp activities range from the traditional outdoor sports of hiking, biking and fishing to curated cannabis-related activities "taught by a respected group of pharmacologic cannabis pioneers, wellness coaches, yogi masters, culinary wizards and dispensary owners."

Classes and workshops include cooking classes where guests learn food/cannabis combinations, and yoga and meditation sessions that "are best enjoyed with a mellow mountain high."

In the Canvas & Cannabis class, guests "can embrace their artistic abilities and explore the creative process."

Cuisine ranges from gourmet (filet of elk) to ranch fare (ribeye steak) "with thoughtfully prepared cannabis pairings."

There's a daily happy hour, nightly entertainment with campfires and dancing, WiFi in the main lodge, a heated outdoor pool, a 14-person hot tub and gear for adventure activities.

Bookings are made online directly with the resort. Rates start at $395 per person, per night with a three-night minimum-stay requirement.
