San Diego's Marriot Hotel & Marina has been reflagged as a Marriott Marquis.
Now called the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina, the hotel became just one of four to carry the Marquis ranking in the country.
The hotel earned the upscale distinction as part of a $200 million renovation to the hotel, which has 1,360 guestrooms, 75,000 square feet of flexible meetings space and a 446-slip private marina.
The hotel is adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center and steps from Petco Park, the historic Gaslamp Quarter and Seaport Village.
