Marriott International’s Autograph Collection will enter Hawaii when the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on the Big Island joins the group next year.

The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2015, has 252 rooms and is part of Prince Resorts Hawaii. That hotelier also oversees the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, which is about a mile from Mauna Kea. Combined, the two hotels have about 150,000 square feet of meeting space.

While Marriott hasn’t officially made the announcement, the company lists the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on its website as part of the Autograph Collection. The addition was first reported by Hotel Chatter.
