The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real, a Melia Hotels luxury resort, will open on Dec. 15. The resort overlooks Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Designed in the shape of a circle, which is the universal symbol of wholeness and perfection, according to Melia, the 288-suite, all-inclusive Grand Reserve includes one- and two-bedroom swim-up suites, seven restaurants and bars plus a cigar bar, the Natura Bisse spa, a beach club, a kids' club and an aqua adventure park.

Guests have access to the amenities and services of the nearby Paradisus Palma Real.

There are an additional 144 suites for members of Circle by Melia, Melia's vacation membership program offering exclusive services and amenities, including private transfers, dining experiences and spa treatments.

Opening rates at the Grand Reserve start at $510 per night, double.

Along with the upcoming debut of the Grand Reserve, Melia is transforming its Melia Caribe Tropical Resort into two resorts -- the Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort for adults only and the Melia Caribe Beach for families, set to be completed by November.
