Nashville's first hotel under Starwood Hotels & Resorts' Westin brand will open in early 2017.
The Westin Nashville will be located across the street from Music City Center, the city's new 1.2 million-square-foot convention center.
The property, to be developed by Nashville Hospitality Capital and managed by Wischermann Partners , will have 430 rooms as well as a restaurant, rooftop pool and lounge, and almost 26,000 square feet of meetings space.
Nashville last year had the fastest room-demand growth out of the largest 25 U.S. markets, as revenue per available room increased 14%, according to STR. The city's room rates rose 7.5%, to about $104 a night, while occupancy advanced 3.5 percentage points, to 68.8%. Follow Danny King on Twitter @dktravelweekly.
