DALLAS -- Ritz-Carlton will open its first luxury hotel in Texas -- the 216-room Ritz-Carlton Dallas -- in 2007 on McKinney Avenue in the Uptown section of the city.

Plans for the hotel call for 14,000 square feet of meetings space, a 10,000-square-foot ballroom, one restaurant, a fitness center and an indoor swimming pool. The hotel will comprise the first eight floors of the 21-story building.

The property also will feature 70 condominiums on the top floors of the building that will be priced from $800,000 to $6 million each.
