The Rosarito Beach Hotel in Baja California will become a 500-room resort on Aug. 2, when the property’s 17-story, 271-suite Pacifico Tower opens.
Rosarito Beach, Mexico, is about 20 miles south of the U.S. border.
With the addition of the Pacifico to two existing towers, the hotel now offers an infinity pool and a rooftop restaurant. The hotel plans to break ground on a new conference center in December.
The Rosarito Beach Hotel has been around since 1925, when it was founded as a 12-room hunting lodge. The hotel, in its third generation of family ownership, is owned by Hugo Torres, the mayor of Rosarito Beach.
