Rotana to manage luxury hotel in Baghdad

Rotana Hotels has agreed to manage a luxury hotel in Baghdad. The property is scheduled to open in early 2012.

The hotel, the first in Iraq for Rotana, will be located within the International Green Zone, the heavily guarded diplomatic/government area in central Baghdad.

The hotel will have 250 rooms and suites, Club Rotana Executive floors, several restaurants and bars, banqueting and conference facilities, a health club and a pool.

Selim El Zyr, Rotana's CEO, said the new management agreement is part of the company's strategy to have a hotel in every key city in the Middle East. Rotana currently manages a portfolio of 67 properties throughout the region.
