A former Clarion hotel adjacent to San Francisco International Airport will become an Aloft, marking the first conversion for the 3-year-old boutique brand.
The 253-room Clarion is in Millbrae, about 15 miles south of San Francisco. It will reopen as the Aloft San Francisco Airport next summer.
Aloft’s only other California hotel is in Rancho Cucamonga, about 40 miles east of Los Angeles.
Aloft has more than 50 hotels worldwide, and all have been newbuilds.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts, owner of the Aloft brand, has two other hotels near San Francisco Airport: a Westin and a Four Points by Sheraton.
