Marriott International's SpringHill Suites brand will begin marketing itself to airport passengers by temporarily installing so-called "comfort zones" at Dallas/Fort Worth and Charlotte airports.
SpringHill Suites this month added a 3,000-square-foot "zone" at DFW just beyond the security checkpoint at gate E18. The zone includes special lighting, ambient music, wall art and lounge-type seating and is part of a pilot program that will run until the end of the year. Another SpringHill zone opened at Charlotte Douglas Airport last week.
Marriott has about 300 SpringHill Suites properties in North America.
