As planned, Starwood Hotels and Resorts has relocated its global headquarters from White Plains, N.Y., to the Harbor Point development in Stamford, Conn.

Starwood announced the move in November 2009. Stamford is about 12 miles from White Plains.

Like the rest of Harbor Point, Starwood’s office complex will be LEED certified. With the LEED certification, Starwood expects to decrease energy use by 15-25%.

Starwood’s new headquarters is located a few blocks from the new Sheraton Stamford.
