The Virginian Lodge in Jackson, Wyo., celebrated its grand reopening on Jan. 10. The lodge closed during the pandemic and was subsequently sold and renovated.

The 165-room property on 13 acres was jointly acquired by real estate firms Waterton and Orion Companies in August 2020 and is now operated by Springboard Hospitality.

Every aspect of The Virginian Lodge -- from the accommodations to the common areas -- has been updated, with guestrooms featuring wood accents and midcentury furnishings. The Four Bunk Adventure Camp rooms feature four sets of bunk beds for up to eight people and two full bathrooms. Premium suites come in one- and two-bedroom configurations with living areas and kitchenettes.

The hotel also features a large courtyard with fire pits and Adirondack chairs, a heated outdoor pool and two hot tubs. The renovations included a new event space, Wisler Hall.

New food and beverage concepts -- including a drive-through liquor store, burger restaurant and saloon with an outdoor patio -- are slated to open in late spring. The Virginian Restaurant is currently open at the lodge serving breakfast and lunch.

The property also is home to a branch of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Sports Shop, which offers sales and rentals of outdoor sports equipment.
